TPH launched SYNESTHESIA in April 2021 with an exclusive
screening of the DELIA DERBYSHIRE film and a live performance from SOUNDS OF
TOMORROW – a live electronic band fronted by Nicole Skeltys of B(if)tek fame.
SYNESTHESIA is where film and music collide and TPH will curate and present
monthly events throughout the year.
With generous support from the City of Darebin.
TPH & Books n Boots present a fund-raising screening of
IN MY BLOOD IT RUNS.
Since 2016, Books n Boots have delivered over 3000 books to
First Nations communities across the country; the Tiwi Islands (NT), Shepparton
(VIC) Cherbourg Community Centre (QLD), Castlemaine (VIC), Lake Tyres(VIC) and
Robinvale (VIC).
Twice a year, we work with our friends at Four Pillars Gin
Distillery to present a summer and winter film festival (Bloody Winter and Hot
Summer Films.)
We work with them to curate a film program and cocktail menu, then bring in a
Dj or band to set the scene for the film and voila, we have a really fun night
on our hands! past films include; a David Lynch double bill, The Handmaiden and
summer films Y Tu Mamá También, City of God and many more.
We were honoured to host the various test screenings with
the production crew of Richard Lowenstein’s stunning doc, MYSTIFY.
Marking the 50th anniversary of the Kubrick classic, we got
all the fans coming in – dads bringing their daughters for the first time,
seniors reliving the experience and even astronauts! We love our locals.
In April, awesome local jazz band, JAZZPARTY launched their
new music video “Higher With My Love” in the cinema followed by an intimate set
in the foyer.
Coming soon – returning to TPH is the Beats Working music
documentary festival, which celebrates the year’s best music documentaries.
Included are some of our most popular and some that we’re screening for the
first time.
Local legends Kate and Kate put on a cast n crew screening
of their very funny Katering Show.

Our unique venue is the perfect place to create a memorable event. We have a super comfortable & spacious 57 seat cinema that’s home to a 6m screen, 2K projection, 5.1 audio and a beautiful bar. With outdoor and foyer areas that hosts up to 100 people we can accommodate a range of events.
We can provide technical support, friendly staff and management of your event. We can work with local restaurants for delicious catering and we have an elegant bar stocked with local beer & wines and of course, popcorn.
Private screenings, fundraisers, cast & crews, film festivals, school trips, birthday parties, corporate events & music showcases are just some of the events we can easily and happily work with.
