It's Never Over, Jeff Buckley - Cry Baby

The legacy of singer Jeff Buckley – most remembered for his cover of Leonard Cohen’s sombre tune Hallelujah, and his folk singer father Tim Buckley, who he only outlived by two years – is one overshadowed by tragedy after his tragic and untimely death at the age of thirty. In It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley, documentary filmmaker Amy Berg turns the camera on his bandmates and the women who loved him and knew him best, to tell the story of a poetic artist full of life, with a natural born talent and an uncanny musical ear. Opening weekend sees two special events on Friday the 1st, with DJ FeeB Squared playing in the bar at Thornbury and DJ Love Potion at Brunswick. In 1994, Buckley released his debut album Grace to great critical and peer acclaim, but his premature death prevented him from making a mark beyond an artist lost too soon. Weaving together archival footage, poignant voicemails, and prescient excerpts from his personal notebooks, It’s Never Over corrects this legacy to paint a portrait of a poetic soul who had a profound love for life. This session is run as a 'CRY BABY' session. During the session the lights remain on and the sound remains lower than our regular screenings.DocumentaryPT1H47MM2026-05-13
